Got olive oil?
In case you’re running low on olive oil, there are at least two alumni providing a steady supply of the stuff these days.
Alumna Peggy O’Kelly, founder and CEO of the St. Helena Olive Oil Co., says alumna/Professor Emerita Frances Mayes’ bestselling book “Under the Tuscan Sun” provided inspiration for her line of prodcuts in this recent newspaper article.
Meanwhile, Mayes has also launched a line of olive oil, a passion she discusses in this Toronto Star profile.
No more vampires for Anne Rice
Alumna Anne Rice’s latest book, “Christ the Lord: The Road to Cana,” a follow up to “Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt” picks up at Christ’s last winter before his baptism in the Jordan River and ends with his miracles at the wedding at Cana. Click here for an ABC News story and an excerpt from the book.
